5 Ways to Validate your Product

  1. Is there a similar product on the market already?  This is probably the greatest indicator to know if your product is wanted by the public. Make a product that is unique but not totally farfetched to where nobody finds it useful. If there isn’t a product close to what you have to offer, then it has either been tried already and failed or no one thought it was a good idea.

  2. Share your idea! Talk about your idea or product with others and get their feedback. You will find that your idea will start to get better and better as people give you feedback and even suggestions on what could make it better. Hearing these opinions will get you to go back and tweak your idea or product to make it as good as possible

  3. Pay attention to signs Look out for signs and listen to trends and your audience. If people are always asking the same questions about something they would be willing to pay for a solution.

  4. Go small first  Don’t put all your marbles in one basket, as many people have said many times. Test your ideas or products in small ways creating a prototype of your product or making blog posts or youtube videos that are free to see if what you are making can get any traction.

  5. Free marketplaces! Take advantage of all of the free marketplaces on the internet to test your products. Ebay, Etsy, and Fiverr are great sites where there is already an established audience to get your product exposure and see if it sells. If you idea is virtual, Udemy is a place where you can upload your course for free and Fiverr is also a place where you can sell your online services.
